U.S. Senate Candidate Kesha Rogers Now Says Her Opponent Looks Like Dracula

Categories: Politics

Anyone who's been lulled into thinking that Texas Democrats might finally have their act together need look no further than Kesha Rogers. Rogers, a Lyndon Larouche Democrat who's staked her U.S. Senate campaign on a promise to impeach Obama (she's compared him to Hitler), somehow managed to get into a runoff for the party's nomination with Dallas dentist David Alameel. This despite explicit and repeated warnings from the Democratic Party not to vote for her.

Not everything Rogers says is crazy, though. She wants to reinvigorate the space program and implement financial regulations to limit the size of too-big-to-fail banks, to name a couple of examples.

That said, her latest campaign ad returns her comfortably off the rails.

"Never trust a dentist who looks like Dracula," the ad says above eerily similar photos of Alameel and Bela Lugosi as Dracula. Below is a quote: "I am David Alameel, and I don't vant you to vote for Kesha, ah ah ah."

This, Battleground Texas, is what you're working with in your quest to turn Texas blue. Good luck with that.

Oddly enough, wasn't a dentist used as a double for bela legosi in plan 9 from outer space?

I live 4 blocks from my polling station and haven't missed an election in 14 years. I can't summon the effort to put pants on and drive down there to vote. These candidates all suck.

Ah, Texas politics.  Never a dull moment.  Seriously, one could do a full stand up comedy routine on this year's races and positions alone.

Isn't it fascinating that no one wants to mention the elephant (er, donkey) in the room here?  Whether Alameel is a good guy or a bad guy, a guy who would make a better senator than Cornyn (low bar there), or not, no one seems to want to discuss what his problem really is--he's an ARAB.  Yes, he is from Lebanon, and, yes, he has supported Christian causes and Israeli nationhood for many years, but nothing can overcome the fact that he is an ARAB, which makes him a MUSLIM, which makes him a TERRORIST, and no patriotic Texan is going to vote for an ARAB MUSLIM TERRORIST, and you'd better not either.

If I hadn't seen a few decades worth of Texas political ads, my first instinct would be to believe this was fake. Sadly, my first instinct is just the opposite.

Finally a election everyone can agree on...

....no matter what party you vote for, the choice is terrible.

Is there any proof the guy's not a vampire? An allegation has been made, now he has to prove the allegations wrong.

@P1Gunter SOMEONE is going to win and be in office, so it pays to vote for the least offensive one in the group.

@P1Gunter Their dirty campaigning is so disgusting, not a damn one of them will earn my vote.

@rubberduky  In that case rubberduky, if Kesha does not get or even have a close runoff, then Texas and California will dry up, just like Sahara desert. Resembling the Great Spaghetti movie, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly by Sergio Leone, when The Good, Blondy that is tortured and suffering in desert, with no water in site. Think about it, for a moment... If Kesha does not come close to Senate nomination, then Texas and California residents will have end up just like Blondy with dried, chattered leaps and skin with no drop of water in site :) Good Luck to All of US

Obama went to school with him in Kenya where they both joined al Qaeda and hatched this plot to bring down America and make every one a Muslim.

@FauxburbanDallas

There are occasional contenders for Craziest. I think it was S. Carolina where the anti-Romney ad ran with the ending line, "And just like Kerry, he speaks French!" But we'll keep the crown, since it was Texan Karl Rove who ran that ad.

Yep, you watch way too much Fox News (the leading news org on cable) because that is exactly what they do.   lol

@TheRuddSki  Now that you say it, I have never seen David Alameel and Dracula in the same room together.

And they're going to do it through fluoridation of the water supply, starting 50 years ago -- cunning and patient, they are. Remember, he's a DENTIST, and a lot of them are in favor of fluoridation.

@tdkisok

Took the bait, amigo.

Harry Reid says anonymous source told him Mitt Romney didn't pay taxes for 10 years

Turns out Harry lied, eh?

Did you know a Senator can commit slander with impunity, as long as he does it from the Senate floor?

You ought to pay more attention to the people who make the laws and pull your strings than you do cable news bogeymen.

He looks kinda pale and very uncomfortable in the light. I think Kesha's on to something.

Give him the mirror test, I say.

She's right.

Indeed she is, and she's kinda cute, which makes her even more right.
