At first, Mineral Wells police were stumped by Shannon Herrin Huddleston's death. How could a grown woman, her home and person bearing no sign that she'd been attack, wind up locked in her own freezer?

Things became clearer when the autopsy report came back in October and speculated that Huddleston "likely crawled into the freezer while under the effects of methamphetamine." The toxic effects of the drug, compounded by hypothermia, killed her.

With murder ruled out, investigators in Palo Pinto County turned their attention to finding the source of the meth.

They didn't have to look far. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that on Saturday deputies arrested Huddleston's husband, Cecil, on a charge of delivering a controlled substance causing serious bodily injury or death.

Palo Pinto County District Attorney Michael Burns tells the paper that Cecil Huddleston, 49, bought the meth and helped his wife take it.

"We have evidence that he loaded the syringe and handed it to her and she injected it."

What language is this article written in? It certainly isn't in modern English.

Did they know what is his reason in doing that to her wife? Cases like that are getting larger nowadays. I'm glad the policemen solved the case already and the suspect was in jail.

Nothing worse than the depravity of being on the sharp sword side of meth abuse.  I saw a guy the other day in the tire section of Walmart that had that shake, that twitch, that unshaven, skinny, mouth always in motion, don't turn your back on me, mutant glare.

How'd they rule out homicide? Wouldn't be surprised if he suggested -- in the midst of her throes of paranoia -- that the freezer was the safest place in the house. Perhaps he had an alibi.

Way to go Palo Pinto County, you got a big fish there! You would have had nothing if he gave her a loaded gun and she pulled the trigger.

Which line from Breaking Bad did ol' Cecil use:

"Say you want this. Nothing happens until I hear you say it."

"Fire in the hole, bitch."

"Tread lightly."

"Say my name."

"I am the danger."

@BagsMontana

I am rather disappointed that there isn't even one "Better call Saul!" post.

The cultural zeitgeist moves so quickly now. *sigh*  Have we forgotten the lessons of Breaking Bad, so soon?
