A 13-Year-Old Was Robbed at Gunpoint Yesterday While Selling Candy For a School Fundraiser
The attacker, whom the girl identified as a seventh grader at Anderson, briefly choked her, then pulled out a black revolver and put it to her head.
The girl and her friend screamed, and the boy backed off. He was "just playing," he said and began to walk away with his two friends. But he wasn't playing, not quite at least. He ordered one of the other boys to "get the phone" -- a $100 black handset from Metro PCS -- which was then taken from the girl's back pocket. They apparently didn't touch the candy or whatever money the girls were carrying.
Neither the victim nor the suspects are identified in a Dallas police report, but the girl told officers that she would have no trouble IDing the robbers at school. The girl's father came to the complex to pick her up.
