America's Team Fumbled Cowboys.com. Now, It's a Gay Dating Website.

The Dallas Cowboys almost snatched up the Cowboys.com domain five years ago. They called in the winning bid at auction but backed out after realizing that the "275" the agreed to was $275,000, not just $275.00, according to a report at the time from Domain Name News. The name was finally purchased for $370,000 a few months later and has been out of public view ever since. Until now.

Deadspin is reporting that Cowboys.com now has a permanent resident, and it has nothing to do with football. That would be boring. Instead, it's "an online dating community for men who enjoy the same country living lifestyle."

That's right: a gay dating website. The press release announcing the gay dating site is here. The site apparently gets 30,000 visitors per month looking for all kinds of things. Man-on-man action is apparently one of them.

So, now you know where to go to find yourself a real cowboy. And where not to go if you're looking for Dallas Cowboys-themed merchandise.

A very ironic poke in the eye to Jerry and "America's Team". The next logical for the cheap SOB would be to seek redress in the courts. Why spend the money, when you can have the legal system do it for you...

@JM64 And why would the courts do that? Click on the link...the only similarity is the generic word "cowboys". Not to mention the fact that the football team had the opportunity to purchase the domain five years ago and passed on it.
