Janet Parker, a 61-year-old waitress, was working the overnight shift at an Irving Denny's on State Highway 183 this morning when her husband, Thomas Parker, walked in.

Without warning, the 54-year-old took out a knife and stabbed his wife several times, according to a release from the Irving Police Department.

Restaurant manager Diane Couturier told NBC 5 she was in the office when she heard someone screaming. She emerged to find Janet Parker on the couch, screaming as her husband stabbed her in the chest. When Couturier stepped forward, Thomas Parker turned to leave.

Police arrived just as he was leaving the restaurant and arrested him without incident, according to police. He was booked into the Irving Jail on one count of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury. Janet Parker was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.

OK. I'm seeing a trend here. Rich White people kill each other on golf courses, Poor White people kill each other in Denny's and Black folk kill each other in the privacy of a hotel room.

A valuable lesson for all you middle school dudes who have a crush on that neighbor girl who just left for college.  At some point, you're gonna be 54 and she's gonna be 61.

I guess he'll get probation and spend the anniversary day in jail? Isn't that what white guys with bad facial hair get in Texas?

At least he was considerate enough to not do it in their apt. where she'd have to clean up the blood later.

@ChrisYu Nah. Tea types go more for the assault style weaponry.
