Watch As DART Bus Plows Into Stopped Cars, Shuts Down Tollway

Gee, I wonder if any law suits will come out of this .....

Been there done that.  I was on a DART bus on Gaston Ave heading into downtown.  The bus driver made everyone so nervous we all heald onto railing.  She almost rearended a car at a stop sign, had the car driver not been paying attention it would have been a repeat of this.  However the car driver was paying attention and speed into on coming (one way street) traffic to avoid being hit.

I bet the DART driver was watching the Black Lamborghini on the left just as he crashed into the cars.  You can see the black car change from the middle to the left lane just as the bus driver crashes.

My first suggestion would be to check the driver's cell phone logs. I see a couple of DART drivers a day either texting or talking while they are driving. Add this to the fact many of them are mediocre drivers with little regard for traffic rules and you have a very bad situation.

So THIS is what shut down the toll road all afternoon?  The traffic reports were making this out to be one of the biggest disasters ever in Dallas.  Yeah it sucks but pull the car out of the middle of the road, drive the DART bus off and get traffic moving again so that we can do what we do best.... rubberneck!!!!

Judging by how there are never any brake lights seen at all, not even after the bus comes to a stop there may have been a stroke happening or failure with the brakes.  Thank God no one died.

I'd guess the driver was texting.  I've seen other bus drivers texting while driving more than a few times.  I'd say it's especially dangerous because some of them are shitty drivers to start with. It doesn't look like the driver ever touched the brake pedal.  Looks like DART might be settling some lawsuits pretty soon.

Right, I can hear it already. Move along, nothing to see here... Bunch of commuters got in the way of one of our buses... Move along... No stopping... Move along...
