Three Years After the Collapse of the Cowboys' Practice Facility, Its Engineer Has Been Fined

It's been three years, almost to the day, since 12 people were injured -- one of them permanently paralyzed -- after the Dallas Cowboys' 88,000-square-foot, steel-and-fabric practice facility collapsed under high winds.

Since then there have been lawsuits, federal investigations and detailed engineering explanations. Today, we're reminded that it wasn't all Jerry Jones' fault.

The Associated Press is reporting that Enrique Tabak, the engineer who signed off on plans for the facility, has agreed to pay a $12,040 settlement with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. The consent order notes that Tabak's plans "were not prepared in a careful and diligent manner."

does no one pay attention to names anymore?  Enrique Tabak!  If this isn't prima fascia evidence of an alliance between the illegals and Al Queda, I don't know what is!  and, an attack on America's Team!

I'll bet his wrist is stinging like the dickens right about now.

His license has also been revoked.  If he is licensed in any other state, those licenses will also likely be revoked.

Hardly a slap on the wrist.

He is also open to civil lawsuits now as the SBPE has said that he did not meet the statutory requirements.

Unlike doctors, dentists and lawyers, for engineers it is pretty much one strike and you are out.  All of SBPE's enforcement proceedings are open unlike the proceedings for doctors, dentists and lawyers.

And what have been the sanctions against JJ?

And what have been the sanctions against the City of Irving for having accepted the plans and approved the certificate of occupancy?
