Those hateful bigots don't care about drunk driving. Nazis hate everybody born to Jewish parents and MADD hates everybody born during the past 21 years, no matter how responsibly the person drinks. Millions of US citizens under 21 drink responsibly, a point lost on those bigots because the first thing they always did whenever they got hammered was to climb into a car and try to drive it somewhere. Tough time in court delivering a victim impact statement knowing they also spoke about themselves. They want to blame their own past criminal wrongdoing on a society that was tolerant of underage drinking (that respected the rights of Mr. and Mrs. Twenty) so they can be different by not being tolerant of underage drinking.

For a Non for Profit group this is total BS. They must be nuts trying to get NASCAR as a sponsor.Their are more beer sponsors which I thing would be a total conflict of interest. And you thought it was about saving livesIn 2006, MADD received $4,436,481 from arrestees who in MADD's words were 'forced' to sit in on their VIP panels. The 2004 figure was $3,749,000The 2005 figure was $3,957,095(More arrests=more money for MADD. Hmm).

Easy way to fix the MADD problem so many people have. remove the drinking while driving restriction at all. If you are in an accident, and only yourself and your property is damaged, and you have even a .01% BAC, you get squat. No insurance, no government aid, no free health care. Can't afford to have the ambulance trip, bleed out in the ditch.

If you're in an accident with a BAC over .01% and you injure or kill another person, cop gets to double tap you right there on the side of the road.

There, now the drinkers get to do whatever the hell they want, and all the people MADD could get mad at, would be dead in short order. Everyone's happy.

I've got no love for MADD. They are neo-prohibitionists, pure and simple.

Their original mission? Accomplished. Done a long time ago. That's why they lobbied to get the BAC limit dropped to .08. Hasn't had an increase in arrests. Know why? The police can't tell any difference in your driving at .08 so they don't have a reason to stop you. Now, a sane person would believe that this means that since you aren't driving any differently, you aren't impaired. In crazy stupid MADD world, that means that we need roadblocks and mandatory breathalyzers, or a "any detectable amount" test so the cops can just pull over anyone who drives away from a place that serves.

i personally hope MADD starves to death. their dumassed answer to being too drunk to drive is draconian measures that put every working person who has 3 beers after work at risk of a trip to jail. it didn't stop those drunk illegal immigrants in a foreign made truck from destroying my classic iron. all it does is criminalise honest responsible working people. they should offer us the option to take our driving test after drinking a few....give us a harder test than everyone else...those of us who prove we can drive better than average after drinking a bit should be allowed to do a breath test at the driving test office immediately prior to taking the test. those of us who pass the test should have the number on our breath test stamped on our driver's license. as long as we aren't any drunker than that we should be legal.

i'm probably much more skillful much safer driver than you or most people you know whether i'm drunk or sober. i'm not the only one of us. every time i drive down the highway, there are hundreds of total idjits around me, darting back and forth from lane to lane with no turn sgnals, running 70mph 3 feet off my back bumper, weaving down the road with a cell phone in one hand ....and you wanna blame this all on the 3 beers that guy the cops stopped fer a brake lite on his way home from work and smelt his 3 beers....dam my mind is small.
