Since Everything In This City Has to Get Lit Up, They're Gonna Switch on the Calatrava Again

Should have seen this coming, what with the new-look Reunion and the downtown Omni and the Chase Tower and all the other buildings illuminating the future Woodall Rodgers Deck Park. But one year after they turned on Margaret Hunt Hill in advance of the Super Bowl, City Hall and the Trinity Trust are at it again: Moments ago we were invited to attend Tuesday's flip-the-switch ceremony during which Mayor Mike, the Trinity Trust-ees, the city council and other West Dallasites will "make the bridge sparkle in the skyline," per the heads-up. The lights go bright (and white this time) sometime between 5:45 and 6:15 Tuesday. Says the release:
The Trinity Trust will also announce exciting new details about the opening celebration, Bridging The Trinity For The Love Of The City, including headline musical artists and activities. The Trinity Commons Foundation will announce details of the annual Trinity River Levee Run, and Bridge-O-Rama organizers will reveal additional details about events that will take place in west Dallas; all during the weekend of March 2-4. The lights will stay lit for 14 days, and then be tested intermittently until the opening celebration March 2-4.
Never has there been a better time than now to listen to the song from which our music blog takes its name. Hit it, Joe.
