Yeah, Well, Randy Galloway, Lamar Odom Thinks You're a Bad Writer. So There.

In case you missed it -- which would have taken some doing, since it somehow merited its own Deadspin item yesterday -- Randy Galloway's ready to bench one of the Dallas Mavericks' high-profile, under-performing acquisitions, Lamar Odom, who had all of six points in 23-plus minutes in last night's target practice against the Bucks. Wrote Galloway in the Startlegram: "Odom, without question, is the biggest bust in the NBA." And, "The real worry is he doesn't even seem to care that he's the biggest bust in the NBA."

Galloway built his piece around a rather incriminating quote that appeared on SI.com Thursday, after writer Chris Mannix asked Odom if he can "find a way to succeed in the Mavericks' system." Odom responded:

"It's hard for me to say. I thought my game was equipped to play anywhere and everywhere. I'm not prepared, I guess, to play. I don't know if there is anything more to say."
Icing his feet at his locker before the game last night, Odom was predictably besieged by reporters. We all wondered: How do you feel about the article? Did you even read it?

"It's not right for him to put that in there," Odom started, leaning back in his leather locker seat, drying his toes during what may have been one of the most serene rants ever delivered. "Not when I'm being honest. That was a cheap shot. That was bad writing."

The reigning Sixth Man of the Year acknowledged, yeah, he may be out of shape after a long lockout and a short preseason, but it's too early to write him off. "I'll keep getting better and better and better and better as the year goes on."

In the end, though, Dallas's newest son turned the other cheek. "It's that type of business," he said, absolving Galloway of his trespasses. Galloway probably won't have too many more one-on-ones with Odom, but who knows? Maybe he earned himself a mention on Khloe and Lamar.

In related Mavericks news, this also happened at last night's game.

If you ever listen to Galloway talk about basketball, its painfully obvious that he has no clue about the game itself, so the first person he should criticize is himself not Lamar Odom.

Normally I'd say that this is just a blatant way to draw attention to himself, and that's 50% of it, but he has a point. The Mavs would have been better served to have kept Drew Gooden. He's averaging two more points a game and would fill in some of the attitude lost with Chandler's departure. Hindsight's 20/20 and this all won't matter when the Mavs get Howard and Williams <snicker></snicker>

had to hear it all week, with god and Tebow, with The Pats defense.........blah, blah blah!  This is one of the greatest sports nights ever.  I've witnessed 3 Pat's championships, 2 Sawx championships, Celt's championships and I'm still riding HIGH on my Bruins championship; and now this-one of the greatest asswhippings ever in a playoff game.  I just have one thing to say friends-and sirs.

GO BOSTON!  Never count out the true grit, and determination of someone from Boston.  Never.......EVER.

ps-Ya'll may go back to watching the Meh Mav's, and a 9th seed hockey team (commence Duhnam and Miller group laugh, like when Mike told Jan he loved her).

Does the Kerg's sense another Sawx championship?  Yup!  Yuip Yup Yup.

Boston-Land where winners are born.

Kergie out.

Lamar, stop being a WATB and play the hand you were dealt. Put down the candy, get to work and be a team player.

I think Galloway is a blowhard radio host, but I digress.

If Odom showed the performance and body language of a multi-time champion and reigning sixth-man of the year winner rather than look like Dez Bryant trying to figure out what route he has to run, I doubt Galloway would've written anything close to that.

Put up or shut up, Lamar. Make more appearances on SportsCenter than TMZ.

Rangers opted to let CJ GrandAm Racer go in order to pitch Kurt Vonnegut and a Japanese tabloid fave.

Listening to Galloway talk about sports is painful; the only thing worse is listening to Norm, or Dale.  Old man sports speak is SO boring. I'd rather listen to my wife blab about shopping for an hour.  When I turn the on The Ticket and Norm is on, I immediately get in the fetal position, and quiver-"causin' " I know I'm fixin' to get my +ss whipped by 15 minutes of banal shite.  Now Grandpa Urine, he's just unlistenable, AND he sounds like he just fell off the turnip truck.....and his rants about tequila just assure me that he smell like rancid, bloody moose farts!

Happy King Day.

Kerg, if you sense Bobby Valentine is going to lead a Red Sox team that had so much clubhouse drama Bravo wishes they had cameras rolling to a championship, you probably also believed the Big Dig was going to end on-time and within budget.

Ow, now that hurts......the Big Dig is a sore subject with me; every time I flew into Logan I'd have to wait a fortnight for cabs, rent-cars, etc. It was a NIGHTMARE!  It was so bad last time, I drove the 32 hour trip.  I swear they started dat sumbitch when I was 9, and the are still "working on it".  Especially since that tile from the tunnel feel, and kilt that lady.  Couple that with my Taliban fears, and, you know what-I'll just go to Arklahoma!

Red Sox-2012 champs-sir!

Biggest asswhipping of an 8-8 team without a decent passing game by a home team after a bye week. The Kergsters back on the juice, let him have his moment. He needed to wash down the bitter taste of the Celts home loss to the Meh Mavs last week.

Same old. The recent rains have helped. Been a pretty good spring so far.

Sir, this is what me thinks of the AL:

East:Yanks-91 WinsSawx-90  (wildcard) Rays-87

West:Angels-93 WinsTejas-90 (no playoffs....but maybe if they get that fat guy, things can change!)

ps-Nap and Fielder will DEMOLISH that clubhouse buffet!

Not to rain on your Sawx championship parade, but I do believe I'd bet the field for 2012.
