• Yeah, but that doesn't involve banging other smelly people.  Also, they can't follow Roberts Rules of Order as easily as down twinkles and up twinkles.

• When they wake up and realize they did ntot plan ahead, think about their public image and have a freakin' plan, they will go home, tell "war stories" and regroup. May I humbly suggest that NEXT TIME you try to radically challenge the status quo, you do it without using the tools of the status quo? Tents, computers, Iphones? Yea, like when Ayatollah Khomeini attacked modern Western civilization--by cassette recorder--from a villa in France. NEXT TIME, how about this: Guerrilla stock buying? You know, tell us all how to --and I am serious--how to target specific corporations, buy their stock, get into--legally--into their annual meetings and start making changes as OWNERS they must listen to? How about that? Show us how to read a financial report to see who is doing what and where? Wouldn't that do MORE than banging a drum?

They have insane people on there talking about "covert cars" and "unmarked federal watchers" aside from some very real issues, the majority of the kids out there are just looking for something to join.  The more outlandish the claims the better. Nobody is following the 18 yr old unemployed barrista home and going through his trash....seriously get a grip.

• The funny thing is that the "corporations" they are rallying against <i>are</i> the media.  Time-Warner.  MSNBC/GE.  They seem to think that all the billion dollar corporations are bad... except the ones they see everyday on TV.  Those are all right. • I don't who dreamed up using the word "Occupy," but it was a bad decision.  Camping out is distracting from the main aims shunting them off into unproductive activities.  If you are part of an Occupy group, then you start looking for something to occupy.  Bad move.  Now most of the stories are about insurance, injunctions, how dirty and disheveled people will get (you cannot camp for more than a few days without looking disheveled), and bathroom capacity.  Now and then someone throws in something about a weird sign.  Another thing camping out reinforces is that they are unproductive people.  You cannot hold a job and live in a tent in Pioneer Park.  Conversely, when you show up for a protest, no one knows from where you came, could be the night shift at Parkland giving up some sleep for the cause. They should have stuck with daily protests, focused on one objective that day.  It would have given some pseudo clarity and avoided the negative images.

• They arent saying they arent allowed to peacefully assemble. They are saying if you want to CAMP OUT in a city park you must get a permit. Otherwise you must follow the Law. Which means they have to be out of the park by 11:00pm and cant come back until 5:00am like all other citizens. They just think they are above the law & that is where they are wrong. Follow the law & you will get more respect for your movement
