It's Official: Toni Pippins-Poole Is Now Your Dallas County Elections Administrator

I'm an election judge

This woman has done absolutely nothing to you. Yet you all rip her to shreds. She worked there for years and served us very well. She was our lead trainer for early vote election clerks/judges. She gives excellent training and support. She has stepped up and is doing nothing wrong.

Yet, the bloggers on this page are being hateful and mean to this woman.

Have any of you bloggers ever volunteered to serve as an election judge or clerk? Go work all those hours and see how difficult the process is and then come back on this blog and tell me you don't appreciate her efforts.

Just to be clear: I wish Sherbet was still the Elec. Adm. But, since he is gone, I think we are fortunate that Toni is there. That is one hard job and it does not pay that much.

The fact she may be competent to do the job is irrelevant since she got it through sleazy, back room power-brokering that started with her very competent and well-respected boss being forced out of the job she now holds. Your position is analogous to that of praising a dictator for doing a good job while overlooking the fact he got there by shooting his more-able predecessor.

I believe that Mr. Sherbet was run out of office because of a power struggle with certain county officials.

Now we have another crony of JWP in a significant position in county government. This the Dallas County Government, not JWP's fiefdom.

Is JWP corrupt ... I don't know but as the saying goes where there is smoke there is fire and there sure is a lot of smoke around JWP.

The Medrano clan members just got indicted on various voter fraud charges.

As far as I am concerned, even a suspicion of voter fraud or vote corruption is untenable and strikes at one of the foundations of our government.

I do appreciate your time spent on elections.

Yes, photos staged by photographers have never been done before. I believe every network tv news piece happens to catch a subject as the take a phone call or type up a document while media is there.Blame the photographer for a poor details for the shot.

For God's sake, I can't believe that woman has delibertley desecrated the American Flag like that and then left it hanging on her office wall for everyone to see. How can she possibly be a leader when she doesn't even know how to honor the American Flag. Guess she was a excellent student of JWP. After all, he is the one that turned his back to the flag and held his hands down to his side during the pledge at a meeting where he was scheduled as the keynote speaker.

Jenkins once again shows what a liar and flunkie of JWP he is. Says a "nationwide search" will be conducted, tried last week to just name this woman for the job without interviewing anyone else, and now made it official. It was planned all along and Jenkins just continues to show that he is JWP's puppet.

It just stinks to me Price puts in one of his "sista gurls" to help oversee elections, it stinks of collusion similar to chicago-style tenement politics. I have feeling Bruce Shebert is both wincing and laughing at this whole situation as we speak..

It probably is not a sign of disorganization, but it is a sign of waste. Most execs these days may have desktop screens that look as bad as that desk, but they at least stopped killing trees. That reliance on paper, particularly in a function that manages almost daily changes, also complicates any control process to stay updated. Those cylinders behind her are likely maps, probably annotated with all kinds of info that no one else can access, with no guarantee of accuracy. Any time you see a PC in that office position, it's a dead give away that it is strictly a peripheral. The people at Boise Cascade or competitors must love Dallas County Government.
