I had a gas mask when I was in college. It came in very useful for parties, various photo shoots and student films, and when my roommate lit up his 14th or 15th joint of the day. Really, they're more useful than you can ever imagine.
FWIW, the M17A2 (AZ has to be a typo) was the last version made in the 70s. The cheek filters can be hard to find (no indication if this lot has them or not) and are very hard to replace safely in a contaminated environment.
On the other hand, I'm tempted to buy them anyways.
Do we want to know, or care to speculate, why the county had 75 of these? Why only 75 and not more? If there were more what happened to the rest? Where is the equity? Where is the fical responsibility? Better get Jim on it.
