The association's president is Eric Blue, who doesn't take kindly to media members (ahem) speculating about the John Wiley Price investigation. Hence this statement just sent to media, via the Dallas Bar Association:
"No one has been charged, and no one has been accused of wrong doing. Our organization will monitor the course of this investigation and the related media coverage to ensure that the investigation and related media reports are handled with the highest degree of legal, journalistic and ethical standards. Any leap to a conclusion in this matter at this point would be premature given that the FBI has indicated that the investigation is ongoing. Any speculation beyond that would be reckless, and obviously counterproductive to the pursuit of justice."
"Commissioner Price has vigorously represented the members of his district and has been a tireless advocate for the continued advancement of social justice and economic development for all citizens of Dallas County. He deserves a fair and just opportunity to defend his name and stand against any allegations made against him."
