A Video Round-Up Starring That "Good-Lookin' Rascal" From Texas A&M, Rick Perry

The New York Times just posted one in a series of national-press pieces since Saturday questioning Rick Perry's role in the so-called Texas Miracle. Read it or don't; your call. But the photo with the story -- Perry watching himself play football for A&M courtesy Electronic Arts, which is expanding its Austin operations -- reminded me: Tied to EA's announcement last month, the governor's office sent out the video you'll see after the jump, in which EA put the gov into the game, literally, against the University of Texas, which, far as you know, had nothing to do with the SEC's decision not to invite the Aggies to play ball ... for now, anyway.

And while we're looking at videos about Rick Perry, you'll find two others after the jump: Bill Clinton today referring to the Texas governor as a "good-lookin' rascal" -- hey now. And: Perry's campaign ad, which prompted Gawker to refer to him as "conservatives' wet dream." Probably because he's such a good-lookin' rascal.

Now that Bush is gone and it looks like Sarah-cuda isn't running it is very important that we pick one new conservative to focus all of our hate and bitterness and disappointment over what an incompetent loser we have in the White House (or more likely at any given moment, on the golf course)...

This is exactly why politicians pander to right-wing Christians...it obviously works. Perry's horrible record speaks for itself, as scottindallas points out. Perry may say he's a Christian, but in reality he's not very good at it.

Your "Christian" likes his young aids more than his wife, according to her. He borrowed money at a greater rate than the Federal gov't. He's bankrupted this state, gutting the budget, beggaring the cities. Perry ain't much of a conservative--he's wasteful, and has sold out his policies to the highest bidder. Sorry your political affiliation had blinded you to facts, and the hypocrisy that Perry represents. Goodness, Perry hasn't garnered a majority in Texas in either the Republican primary nor the general. Deregulation moved us from the lowest electricity rates in the nation to among the highest--and environmental stewardship can't be blamed as the reason. Also, our insurance rates, health, home or auto are also among the highest in the nation. How can you accuse us of blind hate? I say you're delusional.
