Several Friends of Unfair Park have asked to read the entirety of the flier handed out yesterday at the "Justice for John" rally, so I've scanned it and put the whole thing after the jump -- where you'll also find the envelope given out shortly before Michael Eric Dyson began collecting cash and checks for John Wiley Price's legal defense fund. (To read the whole flier, make it full-screen, then rotate till just right.)

And if that's not enough, Vincent Hall's set up a website, Justice for JWP, whose sole purpose is to establish a Justice for John Legal Defense Fund "to pay legal fees and related expenses for his defense and other area elected officials who have been beset with legal issues during the course of their work on behalf of this community." The flyer really, really shows how desparate his supporters are--and we know they are reading this, so from a woman who actually wants to help Dallas here, you might want to take notes: 1. You have NO proof of any racism in this investigation. NONE. If so, SHOW it. To make allusions to an FBI progam FORTY freakin years ago? Are you stupid or crazy? Or, are you just insulting the intelligence of the black community? 2. COINTELPRO ENDED in 1971.... Way before J W P baby-stepped anywhere in Dallas. The FBI did, indeed, go after civil rights groups, because in that time, thaT era of fear of Communism, they were stupid themselves. Hoover directed them to go after MLK, but they also went after Cathoic priests, hippies and several Hollywood types. But again, folks, this program has been gone for FORTY years, so to use it is b.s., and you know it.3. Donate money to defend him from what? From whom? Do we know the charges yet? Are you saying that all his wonderful legal friends, all these lawyers in Dallas, won't step up and go pro-bono for him? 4. Why are you claiming that ONLY blacks are being investigated? Really, I thought Perot, Jr was white. At least one guy who got busted along with Teri Hodge was white. Play the race card too soon, again, eh? Don Hill was convicted by a jury, not the FBI. His wife, too. Maybe, just maybe, some of the evidence comes from these cases, that they "rolled" on their buddy J W P? Oh, snap, did not think of that, did we? 5. This city is too different now. Make it about race, not corruption, and you will ruin an entire generation of up and coming black businessmen and polticians. YOU will make South Dallas radioactive to development. You know why? They will just move out of Dallas so as not to be tainted by your allegations and such, 7. I challenge you again to show me the "bringing home the bacon" for South Dallas. Ever drive down Overton? Old Redbird Mall? How about down Morrell? Or, how about South Buckner, also part of J W P's area? Come on, show me the development!8. I will say it again, this is not 1977. You are embarrassing yourselves. Maybe, just maybe, the white rich guys in North Dallas are paying for this--and using your little envelope campaign to disguise it? If J W P goes down, he just might turn on the Oligarchy. And we can't have that, can we? So, like many times before, we see alleged black corruption sponsored by the whites. It looks to me that they tried to obfuscate the owner of the site. My guess is they'll be putting that money towards their own defense, once somebody starts talking.

LEGAL FUND? The man had $100,000 in his house, in cash. Who knows how much he's get stashed elsewhere. Maybe he could sell one of the many properties that he "owns."
Why would anybody donate money to a defense fund when there is nothing to defend at this stage of the drama. If Price is convicted of a Crime,and he likely will be. You've donated to a lost cause. You condone the actions that got him in this mess in the first place. The KwanzaaFest donations will probably end up in this defense Fund and eventually back into Price's control disguised as legitimate funds. i hope the FBI is watching.
Think of the money he can make after he's actually indicted!
What a shame for somebody like Michael Dyson. Intelligent man making a serious rookie mistake. Wonder if Dyson really got the straight backstory from Price, and if Dyson paid his own way here and back out of town. Hope this doesn't come back to bite him on the ass in the national media arena. Could take a serious hit to his credibility.
You have got to be kidding me . Nothing but a fool would donate money to this money scam. But,why not. Dallas has plenty fools who are too stupid to see the forest behind the trees. This is just another way to launder "shake down" money. I'm sure the FBI will be taking a close look at the Defense Fund manager in the near future.
Do his constituents not realize that they are the ones that got screwed?
I wonder how many "consultants" were given equity stakes in the fund in order to shepherd it through the red tape that always accompanies projects of this sort?
Not sure which is worse: the content of that brochure, or its design.
Here's an idea. Post all of his campaign contributions. Since he's fighting "The Man" I'm sure you won't see donors with North Dallas zip codes. *sarcasm*
Can they eventually audit those funds to find out how much of it went to his tailor for his custom defendant suits? Just want the bases covered for the future.

So the dude that fleeced his citizens by keeping the money in North Dallas is fleecing them once again by asking for donations? It is clear JWP makes a profit from race-baiting demagoguery. Ultimately, the FBI and DOJ are run by black men -- hardly the group of people who are going to try to take down a successful black man for just being black. "The man" is keeping South Dallas down. And that man's name is John Wiley Price.
