Maybe They'll Shoot the Next-Generation Dallas At Your House. Guess It Doesn't Hurt to Ask.

This scene was shot at a house on Deloache. Trust me.
Back when Dallas was on the air, the series barely shot in Dallas -- maybe two months out of the season, tops, which was "crazy-making," as Linda Gray told Unfair Park back in April. That said, an old friend did have his folks' house used in a few episodes -- poor guy had to watch a bikini-clad Lois Chiles swimming in the pool, which was hard on a young Michael, no doubt. Anyway.

Since Dallas will actually shoot in Dallas this go-'round, the city and TNT are putting out the call for possible locations -- which could include, oh, your house, let's say. Per the press release sent out this morning, Janis Burklund, head of the Dallas Film Commission, says, "Maybe your home showcases how some of us live in this diverse and fourth largest metropolitan region in the nation. Or maybe you'd like to draw tourists to your property, or grow your business. Whatever the reason, this is a great opportunity to be seen by an international audience."

To that end, says the release:
To submit your property, please email dallastv@dallascityhall.com with "Dallas TV Series Locations" in the subject line. Be sure to include your phone number, email and street address, along with photos, a brief description of the property, and why you'd like to participate.
The whole release follows.
Would you like to be a part of the new Dallas TV series? Residents invited to showcase their home or business

DALLAS - The new Dallas television series is coming to town and residents can help show the world why there's no better city to live, work or play in than Dallas, Texas. TNT is expected to begin production on the series later this year and is now looking for filming locations.

"Maybe your home showcases how some of us live in this diverse and fourth largest metropolitan region in the nation, "Dallas Film Commissioner Janis Burklund. "Or maybe you'd like to draw tourists to your property, or grow your business. Whatever the reason, this is a great opportunity to be seen by an international audience," she said.

The Executive Producers of the new Dallas series have said, "We are so excited that we get to shoot Dallas in Dallas." "The city has changed so much since the original series and we can't wait to show our audience the fun, the culture, the architecture, the restaurants, the landscapes and the people that make Dallas such a vibrant and cinematic city."

Burklund said writers are currently working on the first season's episodes and will consider scenes set in locations throughout North Texas. To submit your property, please email dallastv@dallascityhall.com with "Dallas TV Series Locations" in the subject line. Be sure to include your phone number, email and street address, along with photos, a brief description of the property, and why you'd like to participate.

"We'll pass the information along, and residents may soon find themselves talking to a representative of the show about how their property can play a part in shaping the world's future view of Dallas," she said.

For more information on how to best submit your property as a location for the new Dallas series visit: www.dallasfilmcommission.com/how_to/how_to_list_property.htm.

Champ D'or in Denton, that huge mansion that has been for sale a long time. Secluded and grand, and I am sure the desperate owners would love to make some money off renting it out.

I'm about to submit my Lincoln Apartments building as "The true representation of douchery and the business that could care less about its residents, so long as the revolving douche door is wide open--and it always is--since there's no longer a security deposit."Plenty of frat partiers under 19 for extras also.

I don't think I understand what this is supposed to mean.  How some of us live?  Diverse?  And what does the size of the D-FW area have to do with anything?
