John Wiley Price Says He Has "No Idea" Why FBI Agents Are Going Through His Stuff

• What Price really means is that he's not sure which crooked activity he got caught doing.There is no one who can cover his butt now.

• Hey, if they were searching for a stolen gerbil they should have done a cavity search.

• His arrogance knows no bounds. He has thrived being the bully of the commissioners court.   I have many suspicions about JWP, but will wait until the feds take action to see whether my suspicions are correct or if he will be vindicated,  although I suspect he has something to worry about. 

• "Circumstantial evidence" is evidence that tends to prove the truth of the position asserted; it is often the most reliable evidence.  DNA, fingerprints, blood typing, handwriting are all circumstantial evidence.  "Direct evidence," on the other hand, is confessions and eye witness identifications. 

• Once the handcuffs click the "speedy trial requirement" clock starts ticking.  The feds will have all of their searches done, and all of the people filipped they can flip before any arrests are made.

• When Kennedy was shot, killing a president was not a federal crime, that's why the DPD had jurisdiction.  The law making killing or harming the President a federal crime was passed in response to the Kennedy murder.  The 6th Floor Museum has a good discussion on the issue.

• I don't see anywhere that the FBI was publicizing these raids.  If anything, they tried to time it so that the mayoral swearing in took time away from the coverage.

• In other words, this is the one in a one-two punch, and EBJ is the two.  That really makes sense if they plan on flipping JWP against EBJ, since he's a notorious snitch to start with.

• Obama is expected to have over $1 BILLION for his 2012 campaign - more than all the GOP candidates combined, and whatever is left after they finish assassinating each other in the primaries will be a pittance of what Obama has for his campaign.

• Andre read my post below. I can assure you that the FBI and federal judges do not go on fishing expeditions for political corruption cases. Too sensitive. Investigators have to work with US Attorneys in order to obtain enough behind the scenes evidence in order to get to first base in front of the judge. Do you actually think the Holder/Obama administration is after JWP and Eddie Bernice Johnson??  They protected both of them until they saw the handwriting on the wall (evidence we will not see for months---wire taps and flipped witness statements) and they dont need this for re election. Remember many low level county employees and DFW airport staff have lost their jobs over questionable acts by JWP and EBJ....They really didnt care for their fellow minority employees who thought they were coerced.  No andre get your facts together..the "new" US Attorney is not new, she has been a CAREER prosecutor (Non political appointee until Monday) for almost 10 yrs and headed up Don Hill case... I think that is called experienced and no need to earn her Latina "bones".

All of these public corruption cases are personally vetted at the highest levels of DOJ. I suspect this raid was orginally requested months if not years ago except for the fact we have not had a perm US Attorney in place because Eddie Bernice johnson wanted a yes man or yes woman. Until yesterday Eddie Bernice Johnson et al held up the appt of  a very honest and ethical  Latina fraud buster US Attorney  for 2 1/2 years!  Eddie Bernice Johnson even added more pressure to Holder/Obama after Eddie Bernices Friends and Family college slush fundgate was exposed.  (Attn Media--follow the money at DFW Airport and awarding contracts to minority firms there...hint hint---federal funds!!!---  DFW never reposted or hired for the disgraced employee who left)----hmmm Non essential???) Word out in the street is that Obama/Holder saw too much for them to continue to defend Eddie Bernice during election year....As soon as they had to throw her under the bus (certain that the feds had the goods on her--and or house ethics committee too)  they immediately gave the green light to new US Atty last week, and viola....floods of search warrants will be coming down in the days and weeks to come....As anyone with US Atty political background and they will agree that this had to be given the green light at the Whitehouse....so the possible facts may be a lot juicer than we can imagine.... Prediction,  Eddie Bernice Johnson and some of her family and friends (who did not already flipped) got "a lot of splainning to do" .     

• I encourage everyone to read or re-read Investigator Deffenbaugh's report about Kwanzza. http://bit.ly/ai5ZtU  It lays out the obvious vioaltions of law by JWP and his non profit of failing to diclose docs. Wonder why IRS could not produce docs that are required by most non profits who actually collect and spend money. Pay attention to coercion of public servants by JWP and constables  a clear violation of state law and federal if any federal funds were used or any thing was done via the "mails" or "wire". Read it carefully and in between the lines this report lays out potentially more conspiratorial crimes...The last damning point is that this report laid all of this out for the public and media and especially for the local DA and County Auditor (who is suppose to be independent) and these officials did NOTHING!!!. Thank you for our FBI. Many places in the country the FBI would have looked the other way

This is the smoking gun the FBI also would play off at the expense of getting Mr. Price out of office. Nevertheless, if this backfires without any charges filed, or without a guilty verdict this will make Dallas look extremely bad, and the FBI knows this, and they do not want allegations to surface that they played the race card and went under handily at Mr. Price to appease the white folks of Dallas County due to the power Mr. Price is seen to weld. In addition the Federal prosecutors are aware of this also and will play within the realm of the law to try and garner a conviction to justify the investigation and get Mr. Price out of Office. This is why the FBI is going to thoroughly and meticulously examine all his personals documents and files in an attempt to find any small thing what will make a case, and get a jury to convict, in the eyes of the Government they want to bring him down and publicly humiliate Mr. Price.Never in Dallas County has a Black Man welded so much power over white folks, and they fear this Black Man that they perceive has so much power. The latest outburst has nothing to do with this investigation, don't be bamboozled, this was planned and orchestrated by Maureen Dickey, Jim Foster and Kenneth Mayfield and, until this is resolved white folks are going to print negative propaganda simply to mislead other white folks and naysayers to believe the hype in hopes of generating a perception that Mr. Price is dirty, and was playing dirty behind the scenes. Just let it play out, because this has the potential to blow up if it’s played out wrong and the FBI does not make a charge stick, keep in mind they are going to invest all their manpower to bring down this Black Man, to give the white folks of Dallas County a moral victory.

• From a legal perspective, that's totally backwards. The Dallas Police had the right when JFK was killed because the crime of murder occurred in their jurisdiction. However, had the FBI or Secret Service gone to federal court, I've no doubt that the case would have been federalized (because murder is also a federal crime) and the police's jurisdiction superseded. In the case today, I'm quite certain that the sheriff was given a courtesy call; however, that's not required either. Given probable cause, a federal judge can issue a search warrant for ANY building owned by ANY level of government. Federal issues override any state and local (county) issues, as it should be. This enables federal oversight of corrupt local and/or state officials. Had the sheriff posted guards to deny entry to the FBI officials, the sheriff's deputies would have been detained and removed. If they resisted, THEN the FBI had the ability to bring in their tactical response team. I assure you that that would have done the trick. Carte blanche on their raids? They didn't have carte blanche; they had exactly the amount of authority stated in the warrant. No more, no less. A democratic republic? Of course, we are. In fact, that's what the FBI is defending; corruption by elected officials goes against everything a democratic republic stands for.

• The federal judge's jurisdiction can be argued about in higher federal courts. Law Enforcement wise, the Sheriff is the ultimate law enforcement authority unless the Texas Rangers are directed by the state or a National Guard is federalized with a executive order. On the day JFK was killed, the Dallas Police gave in to the Secret Service and let them take the body without an autospy which was probably the right thing to do. However, had they wanted to, they could have had requested that the Sheriff prevent the Secret Service from immediatley taking the body. In your scenario, the Sheriff doesn't need to call anyone (maybe the State Attorney General as a courtesy) and simply post guards at the door to deny FBI law enforcement officials entry. Perhaps having one central government is the way to go with FBI agents and other federal executive agencies having carte blanch on raids is a good idea. However, in the meantime, we are under a democratic republic.  

• JWP has colored outside the lines enough in public that one could suspect the FBI has some stuff on him from under the covers (figuratively).  If so, we'll just have to see where this goes. Another questionable institution these days is Parkland Hospital's administration which is closely tied to the Commissioner's court.  Their psych department is interesting to be sure.

• Read up on your civics. FBI has federal jurisdiction, which means they can investigate any suspected felony that there is a federal statute on the books for. That gives them jurisdiction to walk into any building in the United States as long as they have probable cause. Permission comes from a federal judge, not Sheriff Valdez, not Mayor Rawlings, and not the County Judge. Getting permission from the people you are investigating (or people who work for them) is like letting the fox guard the henhouse... Think about this for a minute: Sheriff Valdez calls JWP and says, "The feds want to search your office, what should I do?". JWP replies, " I'll be right over with a can of gas and some matches. We never had this conversation."

• I do not understand why the Sheriff allows for the FBI to raid non-federal buildings such as Dallas City hall a couple of years back and now the County Amin building. If they are not getting her permission, then the FBI agents should not be allowed to gain entry. As for the residences and private offices, I realize that is fine since the feds have a warrent. I realize Laura Miller complained about the FBI raid at City Hall, but it was afterwards and words only.
