Now the Whole Country Knows Who the DPD Suspects in Disappearance of Dallas Woman

As soon as Saturday night's broadcast of the 48 Hours Mystery devoted to the disappearance of Lisa Stone faded to black, the comments began pouring in. Because, as we noted last week, Stone's longtime partner Sherry Henry spoke publicly for the first time, insisting time and again she had nothing to do with Stone's vanishing last June from her Far East Dallas home. Stone's old friends from Mesquite High -- Tammye Markle, Joni Shannon and Tina Wiley, collectively known now as "The Facebook Detectives" -- don't believe her; that's why they've spent almost the past year "watching her closely," which resulted in Dallas Police having to tell them to back off. Viewers also aren't buying Henry's tale, in which she suggests Stone disappeared because she was depressed and using coke.

DPD homicide detective Jim Gallagher remains convinced Stone's dead: "I think Lisa Stone was murdered. I think her body was disposed of." He also points to Henry as the sole "person of interest," because "I'm confident that Sherry isn't telling me 100 percent of the truth." Toward the end of the show, Henry tells correspondent Maureen Maher that Stone couldn't have been murdered, though, because, look, there's no evidence a crime has been committed. So there. Maher isn't buying that answer.

Sherry seems to have a lot to say about everything -- and everyone else -- yet she refuses to answer even the most basic question.

"When is the last time you saw Lisa?" Maher asks.

"Prior to the search warrant being issued," Sherry replies. "And that's what I'm going to say."

"So I just want to be clear so I've covered my base as a reporter," says Maher. "You will not tell us specific days as to when the last time you spoke with or saw Lisa Stone?"

"Nope, will not, no more, no more of this. It has to stop at some point. And I have to be the one to step up and say 'enough of this,'" Sherry says. "I am not here to have a bunch of people be a mystery sleuth any longer. This has taken a toll on me. What these women have done, what the Dallas Police Department have done to me, has upended my life to no end."

Insects are the key... make a Venn diagram about any suspects car like 150 mile radius on avg. and so its a lot of ground yet, you can deduct any non accessible areas and decrease the possible places that the victim was terminated , so ie. if not in the house then under or around and then inquire about any increase with insects such as lice or flies and roaches within the last six months and then of course about a year later if the criminals put the victim in a plastic container etc., then the decay would be preserved and the occurrence of smell or critters around a specific area would indicate a decaying body., of course larger than a dog and smaller than a bear, and if under a landfill then there would still be evidence at the place of murder with indications of spreading and with wood there would be termites, etc, under concrete the indication would show a perimeter where the decay spreads out and gardens are always a good place to hide a body because of manure or other products used to hide human feces and decay. Sherry is a liar. She got a lawyer? IF SHE IS INNOCENT, SHE WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM TAKING A LIE DETECTOR EXAM. NONE. But I promise you she will not. There is WAY MORE TO SHERRY, get a fingerprint, and DNA sample, run it. She has another identity. GET HER. SHE IS A KILLER. SHE IS SCARED NOW, SO SHE WILL MAKE MISTAKES. She will come down in time. we all pray justice will be served and the whereabouts of Lisa Stone will be revealed... the fact that Sherry does not want to assist or cooperate with finding her friend/lover is sad....

When Sherry spoke of Lisa.. she always said Lisa Stone... go back and watch and listen to her responses about a person she had lived with for many years as her partner. But she comes up missing and she goes from Lisa to Lisa Stone... I'm sorry to say my gut says Sherry Henry is guilty

Sherry Henry basically called everyone a liar. So who are we to believe? The neighbors and friends of Lisa or Sherry, the one that never considered she was "missing". Give me a break. We didn't fall off the turnip truck last night.

Nothing Sherry said made any since. As you noticed, Tina, Joni, Tammye, and two neighbors had the same story to tell, and there sit Sherry all alone, and no one to back her. Lots of planning on Sherry's part. Story is that the DPD had found several empty bottles of bleach in the home when they investigated, and this still not enough to go forward - go figure! Sherry is Guilty!!

I knew Lisa several years ago, before her father passed and even met Sherry when they were in throes of her having just stolen the 8K from Lisa father through forgery. Lisa was a very open book, including about being ADD and taking medication for it. From my point of view, her "facebook friends" were indeed spot on regarding Lisa's personality. My thought, Sherry is as concerned for Lisa's (her supposed life-partner) whereabouts as OJ was concerned with Nicole Brown Simpson. Perhaps someone can file a civil suit on behalf of Lisa's estate.

As to a civil case you've got to have some kind of evidence and it appears there is none, although the police may have something and aren't talking about it. This appears to be one of those cases where you know who did it or probably did it, but have no proof.

All I know is that every time the FBI "leaks" the name of a suspect, it turns out in the end that it's the wrong guy. Richard Jewel, the Anthrax scientist, all of them. They leak the name when they don't actually have any evidence beyond "the guy is weird."

If that's what the FBI does, I can't imagine that DPD is any better.

I enjoyed watching the story, always love seeing Dallas (even though this is a tragic story). But I thought the relentless Facebook product placement by CBS was way too much. And this is such a story about WOMEN!

One thing brought up in past comments that puzzles me is Lisa's frends' relation to Lisa in the years leading up to her disappearance. They deserve accolades, obviously, but how close were they to Lisa at that point in her life? I assume the investigators are also grilling and snooping around Lisa's supposed druggy friends (if you believe Sherry's statements) or others that may have known Lisa more closely at that time? Where are they?

Sherry came across on the CBS story like the perfect villian. There's also a chance that Lisa died in some seedy situation that Sherry was involved in, and they panicked and disposed of the body. Maybe others were involved. Is there any evidence to support Sherry's claim that Lisa was in a downward addiction spiral in her last months? I hope all that is being confirmed or investigated and dismissed.

It's allll very mysterious and interesting. I hope her friends' great work pays off!
