Good Christian Belles Lands On ABC's Schedule. But Not This Fall. It's a Midseason 2012 Show.

One thing, though: Most folks thought it would land on Sunday nights pronto, next to Desperate Housewives. Not so much: It's nowhere to be found on the fall schedule, as ABC is holding it back as a midseason 2012 replacement, along with the Ashley Judd series Missing and the Bruce Greenwood show The River. The soap returns to Dallas in this wicked new drama that shows that you can go home again ... but only if you're ready to face the sins of your past.
Kristen Chenoweth as Carlene Cockburn
Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb), once the ultimate high school "mean girl," is forced to return home in disgrace after her marriage ends in scandal. Amanda is nothing like the girl she was 20 years ago, but as her old classmates reacquaint themselves with the new Amanda, will her home town welcome her with open arms or seek revenge? No one in this town is a saint, but that doesn't mean they can't have a heart. As Amanda and her teenage kids try to adjust to their new lives, the ladies from her past alternate between sympathy and scheming.
And will it shoot here? Wouldn't hold my breath -- Good Christian Belles has a mighty big cast to bring to town for an extended period, especially with state production incentives so up in the air at the moment down in Austin. We may have some video later today. If so, I'll update this item. But, for now, jump. But mind Charlie's Angels.
Update at 3:36 p.m.: A minute from Good Christian Belles follows. Whatever.
