Fort Worth 21-Year-Old Cameron Mitchell to Get His Shot at Getting a Slot on Glee
Mitchell was among those who crowded downtown Fort Worth in January, auditioning for his shot at an audition in front of Darren Criss, who plays Blaine on the series, and Glee casting director Robert Ulrich. He's among three from the Fort Worth auditions who made the cut; the others are from Georgia and North Carolina. From his bio:
Cameron is a natural musician who, up until six months ago, had never taken a single music lesson. He's been performing in amateur shows for four years. In high school, Cameron was hated by all the guys but loved by all the girls. He grew up loving the Beatles -- they inspire him and influence him as a musician and a performer. And if he doesn't make the cut, perhaps Cameron could audition for Centro-matic For the People: The Will Johnson Story. The Glee Project, incidentally, begins airing June 12 at 8 p.m. on Oxygen. No doubt Merritt already has it scheduled on her DVR. And by Merritt, I mean me. Bring it.
