LEGO My Dallas-Fort Worth Landmarks

Yesterday, our Danny Hurley was among the media members granted sneak-peek access the Grapevine Mills LEGOLAND Discovery Center, which officially opens Wednesday. I'm not saying Danny's influenced by the work of a certain then-6-year-old photographer, but without a doubt the most intriguing items on display are the LEGO'd local landmarks -- including Dallas City Hall, Dealey Plaza, the Old Red Courthouse, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the Fort Worth Stockyards and Southfork Ranch, plenty photos of which follow. Of them all, I'd say the Victory Park recreation is perhaps the most accurate for reasons evident immediately after the jump.

Did you know that LegoLand Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth discriminates against child less adults? You can't go without a kid. Here's the link to the policy: "The LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a children’s attraction and adults will not be admitted to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center unless they are visiting with a child/children." http://www.legolanddiscoveryce...

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.

I can't wait to get out there and play- I mean, take my kids out and let them play and explore.

What? I don't play with their Legos after they go to bed. Where did you hear that?

Oh, but where's the W and the $30,000 millionaires? That's a true Dallas point-of-interest, if not a landmark.

Very nice. I'm also pleased to see they had the decency to not include those dreadful white X's on Elm by the grassy knoll.

I figured it was the Grayhound station considering it's proximity to the other buildings in the pic.

Nice but it doesn't make me want to go all the way out to Grapevine.
