Charlie Sheen's Bringing His "Violent Torpedo" Tour to the American Airlines Center

Charlie-Sheen_Tour-Poster.jpg
Apparently, Charlie Sheen's not going anywhere. Matter of fact, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he's coming to Dallas on April 27 at part of his Charlie Sheen's Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option tour -- tickets for which go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m., says Ticketmaster. And what, pray tell, can one expect during this event? This, duh. And, this:
My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option Show is coming for you. I'm going on the road. LIVE. Will there be surprises? Will there be guests? Will there be mayhem? Will you ask questions? Will you laugh? Will you scream? Will you know the truth? WILL THERE BE MORE?!?! This IS where you will hear the REAL story from the Warlock. Bring it I dare you to keep up with me.
Hunh. Also: "Trolls need not apply." With that in mind, tix for the American Airlines Center gig run from $61.95 to $102.98 (once you add in fees), with some shows offering $750 ducats allowing for a meet-n-greet. Shows at Radio City Music Hall and in Detroit and Chicago have already sold out; in minutes, matter of fact. Just in case you thought his bit had run its course, like, two weeks ago.

Anyone who buys a ticket to this is the fuctional descendant of the people in 18th century London who, for entertainment, used to go to Bedlam to look at the crazy people. Shame on you.

before you pay for this check out the Observer's Calender or Music Listings for the same night you'll probably find something cheaper, more entertaining.

I think the only way it could be worse is if Ke$ha opened for him.

I love Charlie Sheen. The monopoly media tried to do a Sharia stoning on him, and he backed them off. Now he rides again. Remind me again why we hate this guy? He's a pop star and he does drugs? He has too much sex? C'mon. We love pop stars because they get to do all the drugs and sex that we can't do. That's what they are for. That is their role in society: they are stoned fuckers for us. People are down on him because Hollywood decided to execute him and sent the big signal: SHEEN NOW BAD. HATE. IGNORE. AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. I say good on you, Charlie Sheen. Never let the bastards take you down.

The news that these shows sold out in minutes makes me weep for the people of Detroit and Chicago.

I can't believe anyone would shell out that kind of money to listen to more of his rants. I wouldn't go if admission was free.

Before you know it, he'll have his own reality show. Just what America needs.... another reality show...

If people ignore him, hopefully he'll go away.

Charlie Sheen is an amateur compared to Hunter Thompson to say nothing of the talent gap.

I'd see that. I wouldn't pay for it, but I'd see it.

...because I'm exhausted from hearing about him, maybe? To be fair, he does have a rather nice website.

I didn't think one way or t'other about him until this past month. It has nothing to do with drugs or sex or porn stars or even hitting women, I don't like him simply because the only compelling thing about him seems to be the astonishing level of his self-absorption, and that's not enough to keep me interested. I was a little entertained when I thought the joke was on him, but now that its clearly on us, I can't find a single thing about him even remotely worth wasting any time on.

Charlie is playing the media, these rants are scripted. I would love to go to the show. I do feel sorry for him because he appears manic and is probably doing too many drugs, drugs are OK, but too much can F you up and if the sex is turning violent, then he needs to chill. Last year it was the golfer guy, this year its Charlie, next year? Busey.

Could be because he hits women?

No, he'll just drink more tiger's blood and rant louder.
