• It the Orange Bowl still played at the Orange Bowl? The name of the game and stadium it's played in does not matter you re re.

It seems like the conditions placed on a replacement pretty much limit the choice to the Holiday Bowl in San Diego.

• Wow, just think how many extra seats they could shoehorn in there for a national championship game! Maybe even set the record!

• The reasons for no are all short term. The reasons for yes are forever. The death star alone is probably a big enough draw to nab this bowl. Unless you are talking about having another California BCS game, then the whole western US thing is a red herring. Where else but Cali and Arizona is there a weather proof, BCS worthy facility in the western US? Arizona just shyte itself, so it would seem to come down to Qualcom, yet another game in the Rosebowl, or consider somewhere not so west, like Arlington.
