You Can Stop Calling Me About Prince Tix

First, he was gonna purple reign all over the site formerly known as Reunion Arena; then, earlier this week, it was moved to the Hotel InterContinental. (Better sound -- right.) Now, it's not happening at all. From the Goss-Michael Foundation, this and only this:
Statement from Joyce Goss, Executive Director, The Goss-Michael Foundation:

"We are extremely disappointed that theEvent featuring Prince, scheduled for Friday, February 4, at the Intercontinental Hotel, has been cancelled. It is our understanding that River Alexander Group, the event organizer, was unable to fund and produce the evening. The organizer came to The Goss-Michael Foundation, invited us to be the beneficiary and receive some of the proceeds which would have gone to our high school scholarship program."

(Editor's note: There will be no interviews. This is the only statement that will be made about this situation.)
But ... but ... but I have questions. Updated -- see above.

This is the biggest pile of PR shit I have ever seen.

This thing smelled from the beginning. If they are just now calling it off I guess they will have to tear down the tent, if one is even there. I bet they planned on funding it by selling tickets, and having tickets available the day of the show was probably not how they envisioned things going.

Come to think of it the $15.00 tickets to see the SITUATION at Black Fin Might be the only Venue that sells out ....
