Well, That Was Quick: Kunkle's "For Mayor" Website Is Already Up. So Too Is Ron Natinsky's.

Only yesterday, former Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle filed his campaign treasurer papers with the City Secretary's Office and made it all official-like: He's running for Dallas mayor. His website launched this morning -- so too the requisite Facebook and Flickr pages and Twitter account. And I see yardsigns, like the one at right, are already available.

Also making its bow: Ron Natinsky's for-mayor site, till now only a coming-soon placeholder. There, the council member makes his pitch: "Ron builds consensus rather than divides. He looks for solutions, not scapegoats. He leads through diplomacy instead of attacking through ambush." In short: He's a lover, not a fighter. Strange, though: Angela Hunt's website, which yesterday led off with an item about the Lower Greenville planned development district, is currently drawing a blank. Hmmm. (Update: Hunt sends word: Just a glitch, as the host ISP switched servers. "A coincidence," she says, laughing.)

Anyone who has Avi Adelman as a top campaign aide is one brick shy of a load and will NEVER get my vote. Too bad as I was all set to vote for David Kunkle, until I heard Mr. Adelman of Barking Dog fame was on board, and that was all I needed to know about Mr. Kunkle...that brings Mr. Kunkle's judgment into question. The infamous Adelman is someone to give a wide berth to.

Since when has Natinsky ever built consensus? He only looks for solutions that feed his ego and acts the bully whenever possible. I'm not sure he has ever understood the word diplomacy and he doesn't attack - he has the city attorney attack for him. Natinsky will do as much for Dallas and Vesuvius did for Pompeii.

Avi Adelman is his top aide. Avi designed the Kunkle for Mayor website and Avi is full control of website operations. Does that tell you anything? I'm wondering, will Kunkle hire Avi as his Chief of Staff when he becomes Mayor?

If Kunkle and Natinsky are the only two running, we need to start a NEITHER ONE OF THEM campaign. The information in Natinsky's site is a joke. He is not to be trusted. Kunkle can't even get the police to support him and I don't know why anyone would think he has the southern sector wrapped up, especially with the Miller connection.

Mayor Laura Miller Part 2... No thanks

The big question will be for the Kunkle-nator, as mayor: "Do you like this gig?"

Any word/speculation on how this will affect Ms. Hunt's decision? Knuckle would probably take a lot of her votes away, plus most of South Dallas/Oak Cliff. Just wondering.

I don't get it. Is this an inside joke?

Enough!

why would Kunkle take away votes from the southern sector?

The speculation is plentiful. The word is ... nonexistent at present.

Yes. Inside to Ticket fans. I'm too dense to play along.

Kunkle seemed pretty popular in South Dallas. Lowered crime rates, no major 'minority' scandals, etc.

Hunt and Kunkle will split the South Dallas vote. Natinsky's best chance is on the Northside.

What do you think?
