As promised, here's the entirety of Mayor Tom Leppert's adios speech given to the city council at the close of today's meeting. For some reason, the audio and video fell out of sync. Which somehow makes it more enjoyable.

I'm starting to think that "Tom Leppert" is some sort of Borat-like character who just latches on to a stream of contradicting catch phrases in order to highlight hypocrisy.

He's off to head an investment group that will buy the convention center hotel for pennies on the dollar and then operate it as a casino.

Can someone please fix the damn streets? I literally do suspension damage to all of my vehicles just by driving around this city. I live downtown, and for some reason, no one has figured out in Dallas how to make pavement even with manhole covers, so bam, I'm hitting that garbage each day. Then, after just having my car aligned for $150, I hit some mega hole on Hilcrest a block from Hilcrest H.S. on Sunday. I was taking the back streets to my destination so that my windshield wouldn't get pounded by gravel on the highway. Seriously, who would want to move a perfectly nice company to Dallas with the infrastructure in such disaray? For some reason, they can redo the streets in downtown Fort Worth and make the place look clean. I've also seens folks out brushing the sidewalks with soapy water in F.W. in the mornings, but in Dallas I have to dodge all of the dog piss around my building (shame on the residents for being complete D-Bags, too).
Yet another Dallas mayor who somehow didn't pave one street. Things are going from bad to worse but Leppert's new colony could include people in the Panhandle who couldn't care less about Dallas' moonscape.
The new candidates are all on stage Thursday night at 7. Methodist Hospital Hitt Auditorium. Let's grill 'em.
I found the speech fascinating... I'm increasingly of the opinion that Leppert may, in all seriousness, be a true sociopath.

I almost vomited watching "the Lepper" throw out more BS to all of Dallas. Does it ever end. Thank GOD he is leaving.
