• I answered my own question; as can be seen above. What does making a comment have anything to do with having fun? And exactly why is extending one's childhood into middle-age considered fun? Furthermore, how do you know that I read the DMN? Are you psychic? If so, then you are not a good one. But what the hell... do you have any stock tips?

• I wouldn't know how to be a "hipster" if I wanted to, although I'm in the correct age bracket. But maybe I can help answer your (ironically) smart-ass question: it's called having fun. You should try it sometime. And if not, then perhaps you'd be happier reading your DMN newspaper that you'll be paying more for since they want all you dinosaurs to start trending away from paper product. You know, so they can stay relevant to all us "hipster political types".

• Heh! Bicycles, locavore, and clothes that are too tight, in particular. All those things can get annoying, but it's the snark and mockery that actually bothers me.

Boone Pickens had a great dream but, while he dreams of helping people the leaders at Jubilee Center and DISD dream of taking the homes and properties in the area .--- Example -- one elderly resident residing across the street from Jubilee Center...Jubilee wants to put in a new garden where the home currently stands and with the help of code compliance and a little bullying -- forcing, threatening and harassing they want this elderly resident to leave or sell for only $18k. This is not what Mr. Pickens dreamed of...Mr. Pickens would help this resident fix her home and would want to keep a loyal neighbor safe and happy. Example #2 blocks away... the Residents of Jubilee Park are being bullied by DISD. DISD is demolishing good homes and destroying their neighborhood to put in parking lots in between homes! That doesn't make sense nor is it safe for the children! Neighborhoods consists of homes not parking lots! • Nice list, but you left out beards, non-prescription glasses, and music where the singer sounds like he or she can barely muster up the will to breathe.

• I just don't get what animates you hipster political types. Then again, I think I might: Bicycles, locavore, flash mobs, things that go viral, toys from your ever-prolonged youth, clothes that are too tight, Apple computers, Volkswagen, irony and "being ironic," organic anything, dogs as children, calling anything and everything "genius," Oak Cliff, anything that makes fun of what you (i) don't understand, (ii) refuse to try to understand, or (iii) disagree with.
