This morning, the 7-year-old who lives in my house and I got way tangled in downtown traffic -- hundreds, if not thousands, of anti-choice protesters filled the streets, with Dallas police officers blocking off every other intersection between the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe and the Earle Cabell. The boy and I were out on our Saturday scout-and-about -- today, among other things on his to-do list, he wanted to see the ginormo Super Bowl sign now perched in front of the convention center, a photo of which follows.
As we were driving away, passing in front of Dallas City Hall, he suggested we turn around. Kid's got a keen eye. The city might wanna get that fixed before the outta-towners show up
. It ain't "Texa, Our Texa," dig?
