'Twas the Lunar Eclipse Before Christmas

• I was celebrating my friends' birthday, she was overjoyed in this being her best birthday present ever. Late night showing and working early that same day was worth it all. Maybe next year the universe can provide another spectacular show.

• It was completely worth the loss of sleep to see this live. My photographic efforts pale in comparison to Justin's so I'm glad to have that time-lapse as my new wallpaper for the week. Here's hoping we're around to see it again in 2094.

• Set my alarm for 2 am and watched it from 3rd floor balcony. Beautiful and haunting at the same time. Thought something that wouldn't appear for another 372 years was worth losing sleep over.

• yeah and Justin managed to take the photos despite the girl who stole her chair on the rooftop.

• I went out to my backyard parking lot and it was the perfect spot. The sky was clear and the eclipse was gorgeous and I was in awe. The clouds began to move in about 2:15 I watched till about 3:20 too many clouds, but you could still see the moon breaking through. I took some nice pics with my I phone...perfect ending to a good day!!! Hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did...Happy Holidays to all...

• Really was cool last night. I got up and watched the eclipse. It faded behind the clouds a bit in casa view, but was bright and copper by 2:00. I decided to sleep out in the hammock and watched it for about an hour. Later, watched as the silver began to creep back over the surface. Cool to think of so many people all watching at the same time.
