Schley and Elsie Ervin
This just in from the Dallas Police Department: It's asking for the public's help in finding 85-year-old Schley Ervin and 84-year-old wife Elsie. According to the Critical Missing Persons bulletin just sent to media, yesterday afternoon -- sometime between 1:45 and 5:45 -- the couple left their home in the 6200 block of Anita Street, between Skillman and Abrams off of Mockingbird, and haven't been heard from since. Says DPD, they were last seen in their champagne-colored 2003 Ford Winstar van, bearing the license plates 805-LFB.

According to DPD, the two "do not have any medical or mental problems." But the department's especially concerned because the couple moved here from Abilene within the last five days. Says the bulletin, "because of their advanced ages and the fact they are new to the area, they are considered critical missing persons." Anyone with information about the Ervins' whereabouts are asked to contact the Missing Persons Unit at 214-671-4316.

Update at 3:14 p.m.: This just in from DPD spokesman Kevin Janse: "Thank you for your help in locating this couple. They are safe in Abilene, Texas."
