Auctioning Off Seven Good Guys Goody Backpacks for North Texas Food Bank

On the side of the hat it reads: "SEASON 1 DALLAS"; on the back it says, "Let's Go Bust Some Punks."

Before the auction, an update of sorts: This afternoon I got an e-mail from Michael Roach, the FOX Broadcasting publicist charged with publicizing The Good Guys. I'd sent him a note Saturday about the fate of the show, which, as we noted yesterday, is in some dispute. To which he responds: "All 20 of its scheduled fall episodes will air, but no decision has been made about whether or not it will be picked up for a second season." Alas, yet another good Friend of Unfair Park, who works on the show, sent word last yesterday that, nope, it's "done."

So, then, while we await further word let's do this auction thing. As you may or may not know, each holiday season we auction off some highly prized, hard-to-come-by collectibles to raise a little dough for the North Texas Food Bank. We're still in the process of finding that one Very Special Item to sell off before Christmas. But here's a Thanksgiving warm-up starting out at The Nice Price and available to several Friends of Unfair Park: a Good Guys gift pack, courtesy series higher-ups who wanted to repay us for loaning them an Observer box during the first-season shoot. That's how we wound up with seven backpacks, stainless-steel water bottles, caps and a rather ginormous stack of air-fresheners and stickers.

We have seven packages like the one you see in the photo above. Seven. That's it.

Opening bid: a low, low $25.
