The Good Guys' Reboot Is About to Kick In. But Its Ratings Could Really Use the Boost.

• "CHASE" filming in Waxahachie today (11/05/10).

• Friday nights are known as the "Dead Zone" because nobody's watching television that night. Most networks send shows to Fridays to die, though a few actually have done well. "Dallas," for one.

• By the end of the year, GG will have aired 20 episodes. Not bad at all. They may give it a mid-season renewal for summer. As for Chase, the problem isn't isolated to just that show. NBC's entire Monday night line-up is effed in the ratings. Still, Chase gets around 5 million viewers + up to 2 million DVR viewers. NBC's entire line-up of new dramas appear to be struggling (and in the case of Outlaw, cancelled). I wonder if the network even has anything to replace Chase, or their other hourlong shows, right now (other than for The Cape). So Chase could stick around for a while just because of this. I could see NBC moving Chase to Friday night next year, after GG goes off the air (not cancelled, just off after it finishes its run of new episodes).

• I have family memebers whoe went from the GG crew to THE CHASE crew... bad career move?

• No kidding. I'll have to tell him he's right. It'll be his first time. But, surely you know that by now, being a husband, and all.

• The good news is that FOX put the whole production on the Underhills' bill, so any ad revenues they get are just gravy.

• Whew! Now me, and my silk blouse can "breathe" a sigh of relief that our favorite blog ain't gettin' all uppity. Besides, my boyfriend said he read something about "GG being almost profitable for its slot. Says it's gonna stick around, but that Chase won't be for long." I couldn't find a source on that though. Is that (gossip) true?

• Hot damn, Robert. Tie time at the Rangers game? You working for "D" now? What's next, holiday sweaters picked out by the old lady?

• I was REALLY hoping that Gary Cole was going to smash the shit out of the Elbow Room internet jukebox. The old one was SO much better. Anyway, love the show. Hope they bring it back. Plus, it's fun to see them filming around my neighborhood.

• I can't even begin to recall the number of times I've enjoyed the vision of Dana Wheeler-Nicholson as I released my grip and drifted off to a peaceful sleep. My DVR will no doubt need a reboot after this Friday's episode. Damn she is still fine.

• What kind of jukebox doesnt have Foghat anyway?

• I always found Dana Wheeler-Nicholson easy on the eyes, she hasn't aged since Fletch or Tombstone. Ed BegMe Jr, however,I can only take in small doses, like the size of his roles in Christopher Guest films. I'm really digging Good Guys, I have a feeling Fox is going to bring it back for S2 starting in the spring, as the show is cheap to make and tongue-in-cheek, which we need more of in this day of ironic hipster self-importance ;)
