Granted His Emergency Continuance, Dallas Attorney Sends a Postcard from San Francisco
Which reminds me: By now, more than 23,000 have read Greenville Avenue attorney Darrell Cook's emergency motion for a continuance filed in an Irving court this week, a legal maneuver precipitated by a lifelong Rangers fan's need to attend Game One of the World Series at AT&T Park in San Francisco. As we told you this morning, the judge OK'd the extension, right around the time Cook was on a westbound plane. And, as he promised when we first spoke yesterday, Cook just sent photos taken upon his arrival at the ballpark, along with this brief note:
When you are little, you believe in everything. Like the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and "your team can play in the World Series." Slowly, I learned that none of it was true. Until today, when I learned one of those fantasies can still become a reality. Go Rangers!
