National Public Radio's John Burnett went to the State Fair of Texas and asked those lined up to buy fried whatnots: Are you tired of Governor Rick Perry? Why, yes! Um, no, not at all. Maybe? (Perhaps Burnett should have waited till he read this morning's paper.)

Evan Smith, ex-Texas Monthly editor now running The Texas Tribune, offers his medical opinion: "Rick Perry's been governor for 10 years, and the reality is that after 10 years in office there is a certain amount of fatigue that sets in, whether you're Rick Perry or somebody else, whether you're a Republican or a Democrat." By the way, Gov's in town today, speaking at the Hyatt Regency 'round noon. Mayor Tom'll be there; Sam too.
