Dallas One Step Closer to Return to TV

Eleven long months ago we got word that while there'd be no big-screen Dallas, TNT was eying a small-screen revisit to Southfork. Since then, nothing -- at least, not till today. The Turner-owned network confirms that "an updated version of the classic TV series" is indeed among the four pilots ordered for both TNT and TBS. So, then, to the description:
DALLAS - Executive producer Cynthia Cidre, writer of the acclaimed film The Mambo Kings and creator/executiveproducer of the TV series Cane, has crafted an update of the long-running series about the Ewings of Southfork, whose betrayals, jealousies and passions have made them famous. The story focuses on the offspring of bitter rivals and brothers JR and Bobby Ewing, who clash over the future of the Ewing dynasty while the fate of Southfork itself weighs in the balance. This project, based upon the iconic series created by David Jacobs, comes to TNT from Warner Horizon Television.
I've got a call and an e-mail into Janis Burklund, head of the Dallas Film Commission, to see if she knows whether they plan on shooting Dallas in Dallas.
