The City Blames DART For That Woodall Rodgers Billboard. DART Says, "Pardon?"

• If you drive down below the ramp, you'll see people doing their "business". Skynyrd wrote a song bout it... wanna hear it?

• Funnily, I read it as resolute defeat: "Business is done (here)." as in there's no more business left to do! heh-heh...bad copy.

• Nope... 'Business is done here' means... that 'Business is done here... but you've got to hand out $$ like it was candy'... Dallas is sooooo screwed up, wonder why anyone still wants to live here....

• So, does "Business is done here" mean, like, "business occurs here" or "business used to occur here, but doesn't anymore"?

• Looks like Clear Channel pulled a still from the opening scenes from the show Dallas.

• Looks like a great paintball gun target -- you can practice shooting at 60 mph!

• For me ads ruin everything. Start with all the arts, newspapers, and media. Ads push the idea of not sharing, and of buying what we don't need.

• As long as the billboard's owners spread some cash around City Hall, I'm sure it will stay exactly where it is.

• Billboards are a throwback to an older time. The ones along 35 between downtown and Carrollton look horrible! How about we try to make our ugly city a LITTLE nicer and rip them all down?

• I hate that s.o.b. I can't see Northbound Stemmons as well.

• As long as the billboard depicts a perspective-accurate portrayal of the MHH bridge, I'm totally ok with it.

• In a city that accepted the idea that dirt in a planter box represented "the ground" when determining how tall a building could be (whatever happened with that, anyway?), it doesn't surprise me to find billboards being approved that aren't strictly in compliance with the rules.

• How long before the city strikes a deal to leave it up so long as it advertises the MHH Bridge 5 weeks out of the year? Maybe a picture of the bridge with an arrow pointing to the real thing??? I'm actually guessing advertising the bridge might help it get traffic, cause otherwise no one else is going over to the Cliff that way. I'm offering 50-1 odds it stays up. Anyone think otherwise?
