Man Behind Stoneleigh Redo Pulls the Trigger on Resurrecting Mineral Wells's Baker Hotel

The city of Mineral Wells bought the hotel for $2.2 from its Arizona owner, Helen writes, and the redo's expected to cost around $52 million -- and the funding will be pieced together by Southlake-based Hunter Chase Private Equity. The redo's expected to take two years, which gives Trigger plenty of time to expand the rooms, reopen the mineral baths and exorcise the ghosts.
