Let's Now Cut to the Chase

• The Chase Show isn't believable to me. Today's tv takes super attractive people and tries to make them fit into everyday regular jobs. I'm sorry, where are the normal looking people to give the show that appeal to everyman look. Secondly, I can't take seriously or believe that a superstar good looking model is a Fugitive chaser. EPIC FAIL!!!!

• Actually, I'm surprised by Chase. It's turning out to be pretty cool, based on the pilot at least. Lone Star is quality as well -- though I wonder if it will build a strong enough audience on FOX. Among all the three series being filmed in Dallas, I'll predict that Chase will last at least 5 seasons. (But whether they continue shooting it in our fine city in its future seasons is another question.)

• Did any of these showrunners call Harry Hunsicker to get advice on how to make their shows more Dallas-y? I look forward to reading Howard Wen's take on how to improve these shows, too.

• Russell and Betty Boop, I can't speak for <em>Chase</em>. But <em>Lone Star</em>'s pretty great -- very cinematic (directed by Marc Webb, after all).

• Failed series. Where have the good quality tv shows gone Robert? Hollywood is obviously running out of ideas. (Sad face).

• Fernando Sucre back in Big D!

• Another failed Dallas show. This'll last a season--maybe 2 at best. The days of long-running shows like 'Dallas', and 'Walker--Texas Rump Ranger' are long gone.

• HPD? River Oaks? The Hall of State is the Command Center?!?!? Hollywood is a lie!!!
