Guess We'll Have to Wait Till Noon to Hear About Mayor's Plans to "Ease Budget Situation"

• I can't believe how little an effect a 3 Cent tax increase would have -- Just $44/year If it will get our roads back in shape i would pay mine and my neighbors too. Anything really just fix the pot holes!

I picked up this and other stats from a Park Board meeting last week. But park officials didn't include it in their budget briefing today. I mean, it's there -- on Page 25 -- if you want to pull some numbers out of a scattergram and do your own math. But they don't spell it out for council members. Wonder why. Maybe they will during the briefing.

• Let me guess! Last year they taxed Atmos�s gas pipe lines and Atmos passed the cost on to gas customers so maybe this year they will tax all the telephone poles and power lines and let the utilities pass those taxes on to us too.
