From the Right and Left, the "Texas Influencers"

Many thanks to the several Friends of Unfair Park who've forwarded along Austin American-Statesman PolitiFact Texas's editor W. Gardner Selby's list of Texas Influencers -- which consists of the 50 most-powerful Democrats and Republicans in the state.

Not all are presently working in Texas -- like, oh, former Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk, a Top-10 Dem now President Obama's Trade Representative. And many aren't politicians at all, like Lisa Blue, wife of the late Fred Baron and "pivotal funder of Dem groups including trust," writes Selby. And some, including Republican consultant Dave Carney, ain't even from here. Plenty of locals made the list on both sides of the aisle -- including Carol Reed, who places among the Top 30 Republicans. Her chief client, though, doesn't even place.
