A programming note.

A few weeks ago we gave you the very advance heads-up that tonight, at the Belo Mansion, the Dallas Bar Association is hosting the "Dallas Tomorrow" forum featuring quite the bold-faced line-up: Mayor Tom Leppert, University of North Texas Chancellor Lee Jackson, Trinity Trust President and CEO Gail Thomas and Dallas Morning News vice president and editorial page editor Keven Ann Wiley. The event, which is open to the public and intended to "update you on what's transpiring in the city of Dallas and how it affects you -- the citizen," starts at 5:30 and is scheduled to last till 8.

So go. Or don't. Because for whatever reason, Patrick Michels wants to liveblog the thing. It was either this or Aerosmith at Starplex. He chose wisely. So be here at 5:30. Bring your K2. In advance, I recommend this Trinity Trust video: Erle Nye's "Dallas Is Coming of Age." Which has a very odd soundtrack -- as in, why's the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge shipping up to Boston?
