Comerica to Announce It's Putting Bucks Back Into Books at Two Southern Sector Libraries
And, sure enough, moments ago City Hall sent an invite to a 10:15 presser featuring, among others, the mayor, Comerica chairman and CEO Ralph Babb and Michelle Manners, chair of the Friends of the Dallas Public Library. But it's more than just the one branch being covered:
Comerica has agreed to provide financial support, through the Friends of the Dallas Public Library, for two South Dallas branches. "Comerica Bank wanted to step up when they saw the budget cuts and help restore some of the materials budget," said Interim Director of Libraries Corinne Hill. Comerica's donation will provide financial literacy and children's materials, audio books and other items as needed.Update: The donation is $50,000 and, indeed, will go to North Oak Cliff and Polk-Wisdom.
