Comerica to Announce It's Putting Bucks Back Into Books at Two Southern Sector Libraries

• A Friends of the DPL email stated the donations were strictly for materials. Thank you, Comerica, for earmarking the funds for materials, because such a donation has benefit beyond those 2 branches. Anyone in Dallas can check out materials from any branch, thanks to the DPL's online catalog. Order from the comfort of your home and the city will deliver the item to your neighborhood branch for you to check out.

• What a great thing Comerica bank is doing for our city! It is nice to know there are still companies out there that genuinely care about the "little folks" on a community and individual level. You can tell their CEO is genuine and truly cares. I'm glad Comerica calls Dallas home!!! Corporate America could use a few more Ralph Babb's!

• Wonderful! Hope they dont divert the money to upkeep but use it for materials and more staff/volunteers to work with the children and teens who need mentoring for papers, etc.

• Comerica is a regional bank. Besides being to big to fail they seem to possess a community sprit. I won't be moving my accounts I have there anytime soon.

• Good for Comerica..good to see them investing in Dallas. And about that rendering, the downtown library could use a facelift. It's so incredibly dull looking.

• Robert, where did you get that rendering? Was there a plan for a facade renovation at the downtown library? Good for Comerica. Hopefully, more companies will step in and assist. I hate that they have to do it, but it will be much appreciated. I just hope some of that money goes towards some repairs at the North Oak Cliff branch, because it looks a tad ratty.
