City Can't Tell How Much Dallas Summer Musicals Owes for Fair Park Parking

• we keep the parking revenues in south dallas its a "tax" on all these white people coming to these fancy shows

• Why are we charging parking fees in the first place... you charge a fee to ration a resource that is in short supply... Parking spaces at Fair park are plentiful.

• Obviuosly all these arts patrons are taking the DART to see their shows. No parking fees required.

• This is why we have to have tax increases to maintain essential city services like a place to barbecue and let Kelly run around and poop. Because otherwise we'd be forced to depend on grownups who understand this money stuff, and you can already see it's WAY too complicated for the average kid. And besides, all the grownups are way too busy anyway, scoring those blue pills and getting their vaginas tightened so they can take each other on dates over the bridge, past the stainless steel playground for the bad kids who wouldn't help out, and into that hotel where they can wrestle each other and giggle. They work hard! So I don't mind giving up all my allowance and being poor if it'll help out. Because they love us. They wouldn't say so if it weren't true.

• It's things like this, repeated a thousand times over, that have led Dallas to be in such phenomenally poor fiscal condition. It is incredible how little criticism they city manager, Mary Suhm, takes for all of this. She, ultimately is the boss, and the one under whose "leadership" these monumental blunders continue to occur.

• These are the same folks who thought it would be a great idea to develop and own the largest publicly owned hotel in the U.S.

• <i>it didn't put in there provisions that would allow the city to monitor DSM event parking operations</i>?!?!? What sort of drooling mental retrogrades would endorse such a poor decision??? There must be some board or department head who approved this stupendously rotten deal and they should forfeit pay/pension immediately along with the lawyers who reviewed the contract.
