I guess this is the last time we'll be running this picture of Tom Hicks in his Rangers cap noshing on a hot dog. But this certainly isn't the last time we'll hear from Hicks -- he's still a long way from dispensing with his sports teams, as the Dallas Stars and Liverpool FC remains among his prized possessions till new owners can be found. And
from the sound of just-now-doings in England, at least, things could get as messy as the sale of Your Texas Rangers became.
But the Rangers are no longer his -- the lenders and the judge have signed off on the deal, Major League Baseball will approve, and the team has exited the Chapter 11 wasteland once and for all. With that, then, this tear-stained adios From the Desk of Thomas O. Hicks, which, moments ago, landed in the Unfair Park in-box:
