Does This Billboard Look Like It's 100 Feet Away From the Freeway? Didn't Think So.

• Oh goody....all the kiddies with their spray cans are just itching to be "first" to tag. As for Librio...what a useless city employee, ya coulda just said and the city spokesperson said..."Huh? Who? What? I dunno, I only spew forth what's typed up for me...."

• This has been bugging me - looking at it for a few minutes - because I swear it doesn't look new to me. Isn't there one coming off the Tollway to go southbound on 35 that's about as close? Or am I just having a really strong case of deja vu?

• Grumpy, Librio said to call SD because <em>someone</em> had to approve that sumbitch. Question remains: Who? And: How? And: Seriously?

• "Where Business is Done" TYPO! Should be "How Business is Done" "Where Business is Done" in Dallas: screw local laws, citizens, quality of life for the citizens, public safety.

• "Librio suggested I call Theresa O'Donnell, director of Sustainable Development, or David Cossum and Neva Dean, also in that department." Huh? What happened to Code Enforcement? This is about violating a city ordinance, not "sustainable development.

• Now it's a big ugly ad for Clear Channel- a picture of the Dallas skyline and the byline reads "Where Business is Done".

• why do i have an image in my mind of terrance stamp on this billboard in my head, now, with the message "drive before zod!"

• Calling all graffiti artists! Paint that damn ugly thing!

• Ad should say "Suspense was BUILT" and show Santiago Calatrava swimming in dollar bills.

• Nothing more than litter on a stick. What about the board just two-tenths of a mile north of this spot? It's a similar board on the exit ramp from north bound Stemmons to the Dallas North Tollway over Harry Hines. Isn't it the same distance?

• " the Clear Channel Outdoor rep said to be responsible for its erection." Well that sucks. I work for Cumulus and I can't get one.

• I'm having flashbacks from the 1981 film "Time Bandits". The time hole that all the characters would travel through looked exactly like the photo above. Hopefully this one takes you to the year 2045 when the first of the Trinity Lakes breaks ground.

• Geeez..I just finished reading "Under the Dome" by Stephen King...I don't know why this thing-that-looks-like-it's-from-outer-space reminds me of the book...I think the end is near...

• In case you were wondering, no, no one from the city has called me back yet. In case you were wondering. You probably weren't. I think that billboard is actually a gateway to the Phantom Zone. Or a black hole.

The signs came down mighty darn quick. It's only a matter of time before some moron actually STOPS on that ramp.."But officer, I can't read that fast so I stopped to read the whole ad." It'll be fascinating to find out who in the city signed off on this.
