Clock Tease: More Art Conspiracy SEED Details

John Gonzales's contribution to Friday night's SEED event

Art Conspiracy's annual SEED fund-raiser is still on the schedule for this Friday at the Sons of Hermann Hall. No need to remind you what the what this is, right? (OK, then: This is when ArtCon's organizers raise money for The Big Event, that annual artists' slambang during which original works are auctioned off for a good cause. This year's beneficiary: Today Marks the Beginning, which "uses art to make peace.") Anyway. A few more details just arrived in the Unfair Park in-box concerning Friday night's pre-event and The Big One proper, which has since been moved to October following last year's December freeze-out.

ArtCon proper will now take place October 23 -- mark your calendars now, as it's shaping up to be a busy day (dunno about you, but I've already got the kid's school carnival and Captain Kirk on the agenda). As for Friday night's fund-raiser, some 30 local artists (names after the jump) were given plywood and clock parts and told to go forth and make clocks, simple. They'll be auctioned off Friday night -- bids open at $20 per. There's live music too from, among other, the Cocky Americans.
