• Well I'm born and raised in Oklahoma and have been a member of the Oklahoma National guard for 16 years and I have lost 15 brothers so far this year. These people have tried to picket their funerals. I love this law and I bet that 99% of Oklahomans feel the same so don't talk about my state with such contempt!!! WBC are nothing but wack jobs and we have shown thru our lawmakers that they are not welcome in Oklahoma!!!

• Nate Phelps left the family when he was 18. He is now in his late 40s or early 50s and is talking about the experiences he had growing up with a tyrant for a father. His speech brought tears to my eyes when I read about the horrible torture Nate had to endure because his dad was a drug addict and bible believing fool. If WBC ever comes to my area, I will protest too. I'm surprised they haven't been shot yet. I'm not encouraging violence but I think I would have been tempted to kill them if they'd protested that at my son/daughters funeral. I wonder how any of these idiots make a living being a lawyer. • We are going to make the most outrageous / nonsensical signs that we can think of. The idea is not necessarily to gain attention for ourselves, but to deflect attention away from Westboro Baptist Church. Our silly signs should counterbalance the ignorance of their signs... this is not the time or the place to rally your causes whether they be political, sexual or otherwise. Please remember that we will be standing in front of The Dallas Holocaust Museum, and a certain amount of respect will be expected. The point of our demonstration is simply to mirror the absurdity of their message by displaying our own absurd messages. This is all in fun to protest serious hate! There should be no verbal or physical interaction with Westboro Baptist Church. This is a going to be a peaceful gathering � ideally, we will give Westboro Baptist Church absolutely no acknowledgement at all. Please do not bring children under the age of 12 and all minors should be accompanied by an adult. The reason we ask that young children not attend is that Westboro Baptist Church (though never reported to be violent) are very serious about their cause and message of hate. A nice gesture would be to directly donate to the institution that Westboro Baptist Church is picketing against, but at this time donations will not be handled by our group. • I have to wonder how the Westboro wierdos afford all their tomfollery'n all around the country. It has to be expensive to haul them to places like Dallas and then put them up etc and so on. There has to be a paper trail, green like in dollars paper. I believe we deserve to know who supports them financially. That would be great. Demonstrating in the tradition of Christian conservatives would be appropriate. They've bellowed like sick cows over missed calves on the sidewalks in front of the homes of those whom they found their actions reprehensible many times. It would be nice for the neighbors of the supporters of the Westboro weakminded to know that. And since they, the supporters of the Westboro wissies, are so willing to insult others in public places, once again, it would be fair as far as I'm concerned. I also believe taking the demonstrations home might be the best way to fight the non-thinking low lifes. I'm talking about their homes. I think the media might find it interesting to hear the wailing of Westboro Baptistards when the signs are in front of their church and their homes, even their places of employment. Phelps and friends have laid down the rules of engagement. I suggest playing by their rules in their home court might be the best thing that can happen to them. • As a Christian and one who has seriously researched said faith, I have real doubt the gang at WBC are or have any idea about what it takes to be a Christian at all.
