For Your Weekend Listening Pleasure: Willie Nelson at the KAFM Studios on July 1, 1976
KAFM, which sat at 92.5 on the FM dial, was country for but a brief moment in the mid-1970s; says here, matter of fact, it hopped off The Outlaw bandwagon not long after this show was broadcast and went AOR, closer to its underground-rock roots. But it gave Willie just enough time to squeeze in this 46-greatest-hits-and-some-that-would-be marathon (and "Okie From Muskogee," "Up Against The Wall Redneck Mother," "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and so on) featuring such guests as David Allen Coe and local Longhorn Ballroom legend Dewey Groom. Don't say I didn't get ya nothing for Father's Day.
