Dallas Tea Party's Phillip Dennis Distances From Those Trying to "Co-Opt" Movement

Back in December, we ran a Q&A with Phillip Dennis, founder of the Dallas Tea Party and an adviser to the National Tea Party Coalition. You'll find it here. But today, Dennis gets a much bigger platform: CNN's Web site, to which he's contributed an op-ed headlined "Politicians such as Palin aren't the real Tea Party."

Dennis writes that he'd like to set the record straight concerning those who are out "spreading the Tea Party message of fiscal responsibility, the rule of law and national sovereignty to their friends and neighbors," and politicians like Sarah Palin, who take big paychecks to speak at mega-events but "leave little lasting substance, and their words are quickly forgotten." He calls 'em "tea turfers."

Phillips Dennis the Texas Tea Parter told Chris Matthew that he haen't a vacation in (5) years, i'm thinking why are you telling Matthew and Media View, they couldn't care less weather you had a vacation or not. I think Mr Dennis were telling the wrong people, Dinnis should be talking to Charles and David Koch. The American's people didn't pay Dennis to be a Pac-Leader or protest policies put forward by President Obama and his Adminstrations. Phillips Dennis is upset because he got (SUCKER) in just like the protesters who got free Bus Ride to different State stayed in fance Hotels' and eat Fancy Meal's, but the Koch, Pac-Leaders or the Republicans never told the "Senior's" we are going to cut "Entitlement Programs", in the 2011 Budget. Which most of the protesters are on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Phillips Dennis is complanning to the wrong people, the koch made a fool out of you and some others, that what you get for not asking questions.
Just saw Dennis on Hardball w/Chris Matthews a few minutes ago -- Dec.23, 2011. Mr. Dennis, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. I felt you were about to have a stroke at any moment. You teabaggers take yourself way too seriously. I wish all you crazy tea baggers would find a large plot of land somewhere, preferably in the hot and humid south and all llive together and joyously share your values.
Mr. Dennis left that hardball clown speechless. I especially liked the reference to a chainsaw. Keep up the great work, you will go far.
Hey Phillip, you were just on MSNBC, and you're an ass. Didn't you go to school? If you did, then you would know that Obama didn't make the Government bigger - there are 435 members of congress. 75% of our debt your hero Ronald Regan and his policies created this mess we're in now. Sarah Palin is not qualified for anything but a show, and the only thing she has going for herself: She is a good looking woman... Nothing she utters is intellectually appealing. She's in it for the money ONLY.
I believe the TEA PARTY has been infiltrated by hate-mongers... but then that can happen to any party. Republicans and Democrats should not make the mistake to categorize the tea party as right wing.
Watched Phillip Dennis and Dean Clancy on "HARDBALL". Liked their comments very much and even though I like Chris Matthews in general, this time he seemed to have forgotten to listen carefully to them. Their arguments were solid and logical AND without and political, but rather economically motivated!
@Jason: Perhaps you're referring to this over at the puffington host - a tweet from palin: "Gulf: learn from Alaska's lesson w/foreign oil co's: don't naively trust- VERIFY. Livelihood affected by spill?Don't sign away remedy rights" Looks like advice, not blame. But, since it is Palin, and Todd did work for BP, it's probably best if folks on the coast signed away any remedy rights ASAP.

Maybe the reason ANSWER and moveout were unsuccessful is because at the time polls showed majority approval for whacking ol' Saddam, and Bush's popularity was higher than Obama's post-HC fiasco rating.
Apparently Sarah Palin is now blaming the Gulf Coast oil spill on foreign entities since BP is a British company. Nevermind the fact her husband worked for BP for some 18 years. This women doesn't know if she's coming or going, just as long as there is a buck to be made and a redneck saying 'Go Sarah Go'.
Fifty years? Please, 12 months from now the "tea parties" will be old news. Once this upcoming election cycle is over, "tea parties" will go the way of "maverick" and "flip-flopping".
If Fox News did not constantly self-promote the tea partiers, would anyone else have bothered? I doubt it. Fifty years from now, history books outside of Texas will talk of the tea partiers as a quaint little shard of the Republican Party, much like the Bull Moose group nearly 100 years ago.

I love how delusional these tea baggers are. I attended an anti-war rally shortly before we invaded Iraq in San Francisco. There were close to 1 million people in attendance. That's ONE MILLION MOTHER FREAKIN' people. That's a movement, but the media payed no attention. The protest got next to no national news coverage. Now, along come a bunch of dim-witted, politically ignorant baby boomers, racists, and retirees preaching about "fiscal responsibility." Where were you people for 8 years when the republicans mammoth annual budgets, loaded with waste and tax subsidies for some of the world's most profitable corporations? Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE associated in any way with this movement is a hypocrite, and idiot, and most importantly, a tool. Enjoy the illusion of accomplishing something chumps.
